Founded in 2011, Black Heart Letterpress creates unique handmade goods. Our primary tool is a 1,500 lb, 1920′s-era Chandler & Price 10 x 15 New Series letterpress. Rounding out the arsenal are a Kelsey Excelsior 5×8 Model N, also from the 20′s, and a rare Showcard Model B-Special which spent the bulk of its working years in a Sears department store in California. We use vintage wood and metal movable type along with custom made photopolymer plates to create the images we print. In addition to all the materials for sale on our site, we are more than capable of handling all aspects of your custom letterpress printing needs.
