Interview with
Macon from
Macon York
When did you start letterpress printing?:
What inspires you?:
I’m inspired by Southern culture and have a strong appreciation for the traditions and sincerity of yesteryear. As one who appreciates kindness and thoughtful gestures, I frown upon the constant search for what is merely cheap and convenient. I love patterns, colors, and embroidery from India. A practicing yogi, I try to see the divine in the world around me. I support the slow foods & local foods movement; I’m eager to grow roses and tend a vegetable garden. I love live music!
How would you describe your artwork?:
What kind of products do you create?:
I create custom designed work as well as a line of greeting cards - mostly woodblock type. I am continually exploring my style.
Do you offer custom work?:
Where can we buy your products?:

Do you offer workshops? If yes, what kind of?:
Is there anything you wished you had known as a beginner?:
