RAM STUDIO is a fine art print atelier specializing in custom letterpress, artist’s books, etchings, lithographs and relief block prints. We use traditional letterpress as a contemporary art form to produce a unique, handcrafted product. Our approach is conceptual yet our process is collaborative. We enjoy the smell of ink and the feel of fine paper, the form of the physical. When did you start letterpress printing?: 
1983
What do you like best about letterpress printing?: 
The Vandercook has perfect registration for linocuts and handles rainbow blends like magic!
What inspires you?: 
Nature and the creative spirit.
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?: 
RAM STUDIO has a Vandercook Universal III Letterpress, a CP Piolet with an 8" x 10" chase and a Dickerson Combination Press. We use custom blended Superior ink on fine rag papers such as Arches, BFK, American Domestic, German Etching, Sommerset, etc.
How would you describe your artwork?: 
Contemporary NYC meets nature through German Expressionist.
What kind of products do you create?: 
We edition etchings, lithographs, letterpress art and relief prints. Our bindery includes hand bound books and portfolios. We will also create your business identity complete with business cards and stationery. Bring us your ideas and we will print birth and wedding announcements and greeting cards.
